In the final installment for 2019, the program will summarize the developments and key enforcement activities from the Department of Labor over the past year, as well provide best practices for closing the door on 2019 and preparing for your new compliance obligations in 2020. This discussion will include guidance on appropriate applicant tracking practices, reviewing personnel processes and recruiting efforts, and evaluating the effectiveness of your affirmative action efforts and setting goals for the new year.
In five 60-minute webinars, Thompson Hine will offer an overview of, and guidance on, the unique employment-related requirements faced by federal government contractors and subcontractors. Led by Matthew R. Kissling, this series will cover all aspects of an organization’s employment compliance obligations when doing business with the federal government, including affirmative action, prevailing wages and benefits, paid sick leave, and record-keeping and reporting. Our lawyers will provide practical guidance on how contractors and subcontractors can stay compliant and avoid significant penalties from the federal government.
This series is designed for anyone who is seeking or currently fulfilling a supply or service contract with the federal government, or is engaged as a subcontractor to perform work in support of a government contract. Attendees who will benefit from this series include human resources professionals, in-house legal counsel, procurement or contracting officials, compliance officers, and operations and management personnel.
